Various devices are used in the gravitational concentration of minerals, including separators using water flow. In order to optimize parameters of devices, mathematical models of separation processes in enrichment devices are being developed. In this work, the mathematical model of a particle motion in the steeply inclined concentrator is developed. When modeling the collective movement of ore grains, the task of determining the probability of the position of a particle in the device appears depending on its parameters and operating modes. The developed mathematical model makes it possible to determine the probability of the position of the particle on the working surface of the device. The Gibbs ensemble method is used to solve the problem. To check the theoretical results obtained, experimental studies are carried out. Comparison of theoretical and experimental results show a fairly good agreement, which makes it possible to note the efficiency of using the Gibbs method in enrichment problems.
