The article focuses on reviews the progress achieved in this field during the last decades in Spain for managing forest fires. It mentions that the generation of post-fire cartography, its integration into the reforestation project to plan actions at different temporal and spatial scales, and monitoring of post-fire restoration processes, derived or not from thoughtful actions, are elements fundamental to face this restorative process using afforestation and remote sensing. |
