Abstrakt: The aim of this study was to assess the effect of a wellness room (WR) with a physiotherapist (PT) on ergonomics, specifically in stress level, quality of life and musculoskeletal symptoms in employees of an intimate fashion company. Two intimate fashion companies participated in this study. One of them was randomly chosen to receive a WR with a PT (room group – RG) and the other was considered as a control group (CG). The average age of employees who completed the study was 28.7 ± 8.7 years old (N = 24) for the CG, and 27.3 ± 8.7 years old for the RG (N = 24). The RG received 'pompage' techniques weekly by a physiotherapist in a WR (a relaxing environment inside the workplace) during 3 months. There were no significant differences (p > 0.05) between groups regarding all dimensions of quality of life. Significant improvements were identified in RG regarding musculoskeletal symptoms in lower limbs (p = 0.04) and stress (p = 0.03). The company production was not affected by the inclusion of this new activity in the workplace. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
