Abstrakt: Social entrepreneurs are key actors in the social entrepreneurial process but not much is known about their value-based profile, especially in Greece. The present study identifies personal values held by 226 social entrepreneurs in Greece to determine their motivational basis and the influence of these values on their involvement. Using the Schwartz theory of basic values and using CFA, this paper finds that the most important values held by social entrepreneurs are self transcendence and openness to change. Further cluster analysis reveals four different types of social entrepreneurs based on their personal values namely conservatives, conventionals, pretentious, and prudents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
