Abstrakt: | In the article, the author presents her experiences as a white, female art educator and artist to examine the invisible standard of white skin. Also cited are the focus of her art on topics like mothering, whiteness and women in middle class societies in the U.S., the normativity of white identity and privilege, and some of her art pieces like "Caucasian Flesh Tone," "Welcome to Portland," and "Mixed Caucasian Flesh Tones." |
