A research was carried out to study the pre-launch of market research of evening primrose oil and star flower oil for the management of pre menstrual syndrome (PMS). Evening primrose is a plant which has yellow flowers that bloom in the evening. Evening primrose oil is obtained from the seeds of the evening primrose and is usually sold in capsule form. It contains the fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). People use evening primrose oil dietary supplements for eczema, rheumatoid arthritis, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), breast pain, menopause symptoms, and other conditions. Starflower oil is extracted from the seeds of the borage plant, Starflower oil is one of the richest natural sources of an omega 6 fate acid called Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). Omega 6 fatty acids are classed as essential as they are not produced naturally in the body; therefore it is vital they are obtained through diet or supplementation. A questionnaire was prepared to understand the Doctor's perception and expectations about Evening Primrose oil. Understanding the Doctors perception about 1 st line therapy used in Management of PMS, Brand Preference & Reason for prescription of the brand. It involved interaction with the doctors. It was done so that we can have a better understanding of the Prescription habit & its business potential and increase the monetization aspect as well. Database was given in which there was address and contact details of Doctors. We had to help the company MEYER Organics PvtLtd by giving them insights which would help them to come out with ideas depending on the needs and wants of the doctors and the patients. This indirectly contributes the company's initiative to educate the patients at large according to their needs. Retail Chemist Prescription Audit (RCPA) was carried out for various Marketed preparation containing Evening Primrose oil used in PMS & also Understand the Prescription Habit of Doctors in PMS.
