Abstrakt: |
The study was conducted in Dharwad, Gadag, Belagavi, Haveri, Vijayapur, Bagalkot and Uttar Kannada districts of northern Karnataka. The Ex-post-facto research design was used for the study. The total sample size for the study was 280 extension personnel. The findings the study revealed that with respect to perception of the usefulness of convergence of line development indicated that 42.14 per cent of extension personnel strongly agreed with Taluk Implementation Committee (TIC)/Block Technology Team (BTT) are the inter departmental technical team working at taluk level to converge all the stakeholders to prepare block action plan (BAP) and coordinate the implementation of extension programmes. Pertaining to the perception of the usefulness of decentralized planning, more than fifty per cent (52.50%) of extension personnel strongly agree with decentralized planning ensures to maintain systematic linkages among all the stakeholders in disseminating the relevant technologies for the overall development of the farmers. With respect to perception of the usefulness of capacity building of extension personnel shows that more than fifty percentage (54.29%) of the respondents strongly agreed that SAMETI provides human resource development support in innovation areas to extension functionaries of all stakeholders. With regard to the perception of the usefulness of cafeteria of activities of ATMA more than half percentage (57.14%) of extension personnel agreed with organising agricultural exhibitions at district level helps to create awareness about improved technologies of crops and allied enterprises. Nearly sixty per cent (58.93 %) of extension personnel belonged to medium perception category, whereas, 22.86 per cent of extension personnel belonged to the high perception category.
