The problem of the penetration of a solid nondeformable impactor with a hemispherical head part into a semi-infinite medium at the elastoplastic stage of interaction with known characteristics of the impactor, the physical and mechanical characteristics of the medium, and the initial conditions of penetration. The process of the impactor movement is identified with the process of the formation of a spherical cavity in the medium, which allows one to use the camouflage equation for determining the back pressure of the medium. The relations obtained make it possible to trace the temporal change of the penetration depth, speed, and acceleration of the impactor. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
