Abstrakt: A study that provides a complex assessment of the influence of high temperature on the behaviour of textiles and changes in peeling strength of adhesive bonds due to temperature is not available. Thus, the aim to investigate the influence of temperature on the structure of polyester/elastane knitted materials as well as on peeling strength of their bonds was raised. Results revealed that peeling strength of the bonds depends on materials' structure and bonding temperature. TGA data revealed that thermal decomposition temperature for all investigated materials is higher than 300 °C. DSC analysis showed that textiles do not melt at lower than 200 °C. Thus, it was proven that the determined tendency of bond peeling strength decreases due to increase in bonding temperature up to 170 °C compared to 160 °C are more related to material ability of easily absorbing the highly melted adhesive. 150 °C temperature is optimal for majority of the investigated textiles.
