Developing proper economic measures that correctly identify key indicators among varying departments has been shown to help improve performance and growth within an organization by providing leaders with the ability to track performance and control outcome. Ensuring that economic measures provide effective results is challenging due to two main disconnects: misaligned departmental economic measure management and organizational internal strategy, and varying economic measures between the organization and specific departments within that organization. The objective of this study was to perform a literature review and establish a conceptual model based on the gaps identified in the literature review. Through the literature review process, stages of a life cycle were identified and provided direction for the development of a conceptual model of the life cycle of economic measures. The conceptual model presented will provide direction for future research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
