Temperatures above 160°C are usual to obtain adequate viscosity of the asphalt binder in the mixture to coat and compact the mineral aggregate. However, there is higher fuel consumption, greater exposure of workers to fumes, and higher emission of greenhouse gases. As a solution to this high working temperature, the proposal to use warm mix asphalt (WMA) mixtures emerged. Studies show the effectiveness of WMA mixtures modified with additives capable of lowering the mixing and compaction temperatures of asphalt mixtures without changing their characteristics. This study investigates the possibility of producing WMA mixtures modified with the CCBit additive and carnauba wax by studying their rheological properties. The experimental results obtained reveal that both additives used obtained a reduction in the compaction and mixing temperatures, with the ideal content for CCBit mixtures between 2.0% and 2.5% and 2.0% content for carnauba wax, which presented better workability and increased the asphalt binder strength.
