In the 6 months following the COVID-19 pandemic, we identified 27 publications related to dermatology, representing a drastic reduction in publications. Our results suggest that COVID-19 has decreased the rate of new clinical trial publications in dermatology. A possible limitation of this study includes a delay in online publications appearing on PubMed, which may falsely lower the publication rate in the 6 months following COVID-19 being declared a pandemic.
