The article examines whether the anti-globalization protests in Seattle, Washington in 1999 fulfilled its revolutionary promise. Topics discussed include some developments that prompted supports of the anti-globalization movement to examine the meaning of winning by 2007 and the views of Marxist cultural critic Walter Benjamin on the struggle to articulate the past historically. |
