Abstrakt: The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world, as it affects climate change, the exploitation and pollution of water resources, pollution from pesticides, the land use and loss of biodiversity; moreover, in some parts of the world it produces exploitation of female and child labor. The aim of this paper is to find new business management tools suitable for reducing the environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry. To this end, the use of the ISO 20121 standard is proposed, which certifies the management systems for sustainable events. Experimentally, we try to implement this standard at one of the international events in the fashion and design sector, the Taomoda®Week, an already plastic free event that enhances the tourist and entrepreneurial peculiarities of the area, without neglecting the importance of healthy nutrition.
