Abstrakt: The article examines that tobacco smoking is the main environmental risk factor of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Topics include considered that the DNA methylation, which involves the addition of a methyl group to a cytosine base adjacent to a guanine base, regulates gene expression; and reports that lung tissue was obtained from individuals undergoing thoracic surgery because of lung cancer or lung transplant.
