Abstrakt: How sFlt-1 can help after pre-eclampsia diagnosis Measurement of maternal serum soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 (sFlt-1) and placental growth factor (PlGF), and the ratio between the two, has been shown to predict pre-eclampsia. In women with suspected pre-eclampsia, an sFlt-1: PlGF ratio <38 rules out the need for delivery in the subsequent week with a negative predictive value of 99.3% (95% CI 97.9-99.9%) (Zeisler et al. I N Engl J Med i 2016;374:13-22). [Extracted from the article]
