Abstrakt: We analyse, in Eva Moreda's A Veiga é como un tempo distinto (2011) and Almudena Solana's Las mujeres inglesas destrozan los tacones al andar (2007), how the dichotomy of migrants who negotiate their relation not only with London but also with Galician spaces, is not always affecting the ontological stability of national identity. We cannot presuppose that those renegotiating their identity and relation with new places have a hybrid identity, breaking with the trinity of language, home country and homesickness. Additionally, women entering in places for the «born and bred» implies a higher degree of transgression and alienness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
