Abstrakt: The paper presents the results of studies of the purification process of zirconium metal powder from carbon obtained by electrolysis of molten salts. As shown, the use of a pulsating column with a distribution nozzle allows organizing a continuous process of washing zirconium powder from salts and carbon particles, reducing the number of technological operations, the consumption of water and reagents, automating and mechanizing the process of producing zirconium powder of nuclear purity. The quality of the powder complies with the ASTM standard, and the new equipment successfully solves the problems of economy and ecology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
