1-Amino-2-Naphthol-4-Sulfonicacid-Co(II)-Phthalocyanine Complex (ANSCoPc) was prepared by using tetracarboxylic acid metallophthalocyanine (CoTCMPc). The synthesized compound is elucidated by physical analysis, FTIR, UV-Visible, Nuclear magnetic resonance and Mass Spectrum. The effect of the substituent on the Qband and B-band in UV-Vis and IR spectrum of phthalocyanine is also studied. The electrochemical detection of Oamino phenol (OAP) was studied by ANSCoPc complex. It exhibits good charge transfer (CT) compared with GCE, the ANSCoPc electrode shows higher oxidation peak current with a decrease in potential. The electrochemical oxidation of OAP at micromolar (μM) concentration was observed in sulfuric acid (pH-4) medium. The ANSCoPc electrode exhibits good response for the oxidation of OAP in the concentration range of 10 μM to 500 μM and detection limit range from 13 and 11 μM (S/N=3). The differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) method shows a good linear response for the oxidation of OAP and sensitivity of 0.981 and 0.106 μA nM-1 cm-2. In an amperometric sensor study, it shows a good linear response in sensitivity of 0.998 and 0.019 μA nM-1 cm-2. The modified electrode shows good sensitivity and electro-catalytic activity towards the oxidation of OAP. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
