According to statistics, as of the beginning of 2019, traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are considered to be the most frequent type of injury in Russia. About 600 thousand cases are annually registered in the country. This makes it the second frequent complaint after a headache caused by a brain injury. The clinical picture of neurological disorders associated with dizziness caused by a brain injury of any severity depends on the nature of the damage to the vestibular centers. Positional and pneumatic tests performed in cases of suspected traumatic brain injury can detect a labyrinth lesion, and this affects the final diagnosis and patient care methods on an ambulatory basis.
