Abstrakt: |
The quality of engagement of cylindrical wheels with arched teeth formed by a tool with a flat spiral producing surface is discussed. The teeth contact pattern is studied by numerical methods using means of the theory of gearing. The contact characteristics are determined by constructing a field of tangent gaps between the mating theoretical surfaces of the teeth. The low error sensitivity of the gears in the relative position of the wheels is confirmed by the evaluation of the contact pattern displacement from the middle plane of the wheel. An effective method of modifying the teeth is considered, which significantly expands the operational capabilities of the gearing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
