While reflecting on the thirtieth anniversary of ADA legislation, two university professors with neurological disabilities share their experiences working in higher education. Even with ADA legislation, higher education institutions and the faculty who work there may not completely welcome and accommodate peers with disabilities yet. It seems that efforts toward accommodation are underway but may not be sufficient to the need. The authors of this paper hope to reveal areas of deficiency or struggle to assist in establishing higher education environments appropriate for the full range of college professors, including those with disabilities.
