Abstrakt: The aim of the work is to reveal the repressive essence of the "black board" regime and the role of press in the process of imposing the "black boards" as a method of psychological pressure on the basis of the analysis of the content of publications of the regional press of Chernihiv region in the early 1930s. The author also proved the importance of periodicals as a source for the study of the 1932-1933 Holodomor. The research methodology includes historical-typological, historical-systemic and historical-genetic methods. This approach allows to determine the types of publications about the "black boards", analyze their informational potential for clarifying the repressiom mechanism, and prove the multi-vector use of the "black boards" for committing genocide of Ukrainian nation. The scientific novelty of the study is the introduction of a new set of archival and published sources into scientific use. This complements and significantly expands the existing research source base on the causes, course and effects of the Holodomor for the population of Chernihiv region. Conclusions. Publications in the regional press of Chernihiv region in 1932-1933 confirm that the communist authorities actively used the "black board" regime to commit the crime of the Holodomor genocide in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. The use of the "black boards" in Chernihiv region, which was not the main grain region of Ukraine, but suffered from their introduction no less than other regions, proves that they were used as a mean of influence not only during grain procurements, but also during any agricultural activity. This confirms committing of the deliberate crime of genocide of Ukrainians by the top party and state authorities of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
