The article focuses on the efforts of Shelley MacNab, Joint Training Committee Coordinator at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology (SIIT), to support Indigenous people in training and education. It reports that the Saskatoon YWCA (Young Women Christian Association) Women of Distinction Award for Leadership in the Trades has been awarded to MacNab for her dedication to women in trades, as of December 2020. It also presents her views on the social conditions of Indigenous people. |
