In this study, were investigated two binder systems that was fabricated using a standard vacuum sintering process and that fabricated through vacuum-induction melting method. The effects of metallurgy processing and hard particles on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites were studied. It has been demonstrated that the TiNi alloy matrix composite can be obtained by sintering elemental Ti and Ni powders with the hard TiC or TiNi particles. The structure properties of titanium-based composites were investigated, using X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy techniques. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
