Abstrakt: Graphene sheets, possess a variety of wonderful properties because they have a unique nanostructure that qualifies them to be a supportive material for nanoparticle dispersion. In this paper, a nanocatalyst (Pd / rGO) was synthesized by precipitation of palladium nanoparticles on reduced graphene oxide using the Sol Immobilization method. Pd / rGO synthesis was proved by various spectroscopic and microscopic processes, containing Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), Raman, Field - Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction powder (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Pd/ rGO nanocomposites were applied as a selective nanocatalyst in the benzyl alcohol oxidation to produce benzaldehyde using an environmentally friendly oxidizing agent, hydrogen peroxide, under moderate conditions. The catalyst showed high efficacy and selectivity in the oxidation process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
