The reaction of radical of iodine oxide (IO) with hydrogen sulfide in the temperature range of 273 to 368 K is studied by the method of resonance fluorescence of iodine atoms. The temperature dependence of the rate constant of this reaction is described by the expression kII(T) = (1.6 ± 0.3) × 10–14exp(1035/T) cm3 molecule–1 s–1. It is proved that these substances react mainly on the wall of the reactor. The possibility is discussed that these substances react in the sea and coastal zones. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
