Over the years, theorists have described many theoretical models that explain the relationship between love and the human condition. The present work attempts to explain how an individual develops both an awareness of and a quality relationship with God through the Triangular Love Scale-God Version (TLS-GV) and the Spiritual Assessment Inventory (SAI). The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of three elements of the Triangular Love Scale (TLS)--intimacy, passion, commitment, and realistic acceptance of Spiritual Assessment Inventory (SAI) on a believer's relationship with God. The present work intends to determine the direct effect of believers' intimacy and passion toward God and the indirect (mediating) effect of their commitment to God as a mediator variable using the PLS-SEM approach on their realistic acceptance of God. The results show that commitment mediates the intimacy and passion with realistic acceptance. The direct effects of intimacy and passion on realistic acceptance are insignificant whereas the indirect effects of intimacy and passion on realistic acceptance through commitment are significant. Hence commitment as a mediator completely mediates the relationships between intimacy and realistic acceptance and passion and realistic acceptance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
