Abstrakt: Thermal units operation efficiency depends on the heat transfer fluid properties. This paper considers the physical properties (density and viscosity) changes of the coolants prepared on the basis of the transformer oil and close to nano-size, solid particles. The influence of the selected impurities behavior, their concentration and size, as well as the suspension temperature was studied. The solid particles introduction is shown to result in the increase of the density and viscosity of the obtained coolant as compared to the pure oil. The working fluid temperature increase leads to the decrease of the impurities influence on the suspension viscosity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
