Abstrakt: Reduced magnetic properties of Fe and FeCo nanoparticles due to their amorphous nature is major drawback when prepared by chemical reduction method using NaBH4. Hydrogenation is an effective alternate method to improve the magnetic properties of Fe and FeCo nanoparticles as it additionally reduces the adsorbed oxygen and oxide layers on the particle surface and improve the crystallinity. The Structural and morphological changes in Fe and FeCo nanoparticles before and after hydrogenation has been studied from their respective XRD and FESEM data. Enhancement in the overall magnetic properties of hydrogenated Fe and FeCo nanoparticles as compared to the as-prepared samples were analyzed from their room temperature M-H hysteresis loops traced using VSM.
