Abstrakt: Bioglass (45S5) is one of the fascinating materials for bone tissue engineering and dental application. Bioactivity and biocompatibility is an important criterion to be investigated for biomedical purposes. Hence, in this study, we fixed three (600 °C, 700 °C and 800 °C) different heat treatment temperatures. Further analyzed the temperature depended structural and morphological characteristics before and after mineralization by XRD, FT-IR and Raman spectra along with FE-SEM. Dominant CaCO3crystalline phase with Q4 Si-O-Si and P-O-P stretchings were obtained by 600 °C and 700 °C heat treated materials. On the other hand leading Na2Ca2Si3O9phase with Q2 Si-O-Si stretching was perceived by 800 °C heat treated bioactive material. Irregular cube-shaped (600 °C) morphology turned to one dimensional (1D) rod-like materialization while sintering at higher temperature (700 °C and 800 °C). Erythrocyte compatibility assay evidently illustrated most compatible behaviour for 600 °C sintered bioactive glasses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
