Abstrakt: Star shaped Magnesium Oxide nanoparticles were synthesized using magnesium nitrate solution in alkaline nature at room temperature through sol-gel method. Magnesium Oxide Nanoparticles obtained by annealing hydrated magnesium oxide of nano size in air at 400°C. FESEM studies showed that the size of the nanoparticles was between 50 – 80 nm. X-ray Diffraction studies clearly showed that the synthesized magnesium Oxide were in good crystallinity. The antibacterial activity of Nano MgO- Delonix Regia Activated carbon was evaluated against bacterial strains namely, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
