The objective of the present study was to explore the natural parasitic infections, in addition to pathological (gross and microscopic) study of liver in sheep of Diyala province. Results of current study revealed at the percentage of parasitic infection of Hydatid cyst (40%), Fascioliosis (38%), and Cysticercus (2%), which manifested by coagulative necrosis, deposition of hemosiderin pigment, congestion, thickening, degeneration). Histopathologically, lesions inacute Fascioliosis were severe congestion, hemorrhagic migrating tracts formed from degenerated hepatocytes, erythrocytes and eosinophils beside old parasitic tracts represented by central necrosis surrounded with eosinophils, macrophages and lymphocytes together with connective tissue capsule. Chronic Fascioliasis characterized by presence of liver flukes within the lumen of the bile ducts in addition to dystrophic calcification. Hydatidosis and Cysticercosis were characterized by typical cyst formation, which may be fertile, sterile, degenerated or calcified, causing space occupying lesion that lead because hepatic atrophied for cells.
