Synthesis of erbium-containing nanoparticles as promising dopants for laser materials used in medicine.

Abstrakt: Nanoparticles of oxygen-containing erbium compounds in an aqueous medium were obtained via condensation method from aqueous solutions of erbium nitrate and erbium chloride. It is shown that nanodispersions are stable for a long time both to sedimentation and to coagulation in definite ranges of pH that mainly provided by the action of the electrostatic factor. Erbium-containing nanoparticles can find their application as dopants in the preparation of active fibers in lasers used in medicine, as well as in cosmetology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
