The article discusses the effectiveness of the Peumus boldus (boldo) extract in controlling sebum, eliminate microbes, and reduce redness in acneic skin. Also cited are the factors that cause acne or maskne like airborne allergens, pollution, and occlusion due to face masks, the efficacy of antimicrobial peptides against bacteria, viruses and fungi, as well as the bacterial causes of acne like Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes). |
