summary. the crystal growth process of aqua methioninezinc (ii) sulfate (zn(met)so4·h2o) from water and acetone was investigated using a calvet microcalorimeter. the heat produced and the rate of heat production during the crystal growth process at 293.15, 295.15, 298.15, and 300.15 k were measured. on the basis of these results the rate constant, the eyring parameters (the apparent activation enthalpy, the activation entropy, and the activation free energies), and the arrhenius parameters (the activation energy, the pre-exponential factor) of the crystal growth process have been obtained. the results have shown that this crystal growth process accords with the burton-cabrera-frank dislocation theory.
