Abstrakt: |
This paper proposes a new miniature band stop filter using a novel concept of omega resonator. The omega resonator is placed horizontally with the conductor line across the ground. The major advantage of using horizontal omega resonator in the ground plane of this structure is the simplicity for fabrication and to obtain with one cell of resonator a very low insertion loss in the pass band, a high rejection in the stop band with a sharp cutoff. The structure can exhibits other type of filter response with the same topology and dimension, by changing the connect position of the horizontal omega resonator with the ground plane. This filter is suited for many areas of modern communication applications and microwave technology since it shows a several benefits such a good wide rejection of out of band signals selectivity and compactness and small losses, with total area of 9.08×10mm2.
