Abstrakt: The current article presents methods aimed at the acceleration of realistic images synthesis by bidirectional ray tracing, which is based on the simultaneous use of photon maps for caustics illumination and imphoton (visibility) maps for indirect illumination. The usage of two separate maps allows to reduce the size of the maps and as result to increase the processing speed while keeping the image quality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
