Abstrakt:	The article offers information on the AERONAUT research project led by the automotive industry, HSVA and funded by the German government which has been exploring ways of reducing the aerodynamic drag of ship superstructures. It discusses that the wind resistance of ship superstructures is usually classified as low during the design phase; and mentions that aerodynamic resistance can be considerable part of the "added resistance" for a large number of vessels and operational conditions.
