The refractive effect of the reflection of waves from a channel has made it possible to propose a model of refractive filtering of the frequency-directed wave spectrum by the navigation channel. If the frequency-directed spectrum is known on the way to the channel, then when traversing the channel some frequency components of the waves are reflected from the channel. Thus, part of the wave energy is reflected from the channel; that is, the part of the energy of the initial wave does not reach the second embankment shoulder, which results in a decrease of wave altitude in the region beyond the channel.
