"Epic is the oldest form of classic literature and found in various language of the world but there are no examples of long epics in Urdu literature. There are some elements of elegy in the genus of epilogue, but we could not call it a complete epilogue. "Qalam ka Qarz" written by Shaukat Wasti is the maiden example of its kind in Urdu literature. In it, all the colors of history, fiction, drama, music and poetry are found. The epithet refers to confrontation and strife. Its language is distinctive and the style is diligent.
