Abstrakt: |
This study was conducted on 50 slaughter pregnant small ruminants (25 ewes and 25 does) in AL-Shulla, Baghdad province and AL-Musaib, Babylon province abattoirs from August 2018 to June 2019, aged between 3-6 years old. These animals were divided in to two equal group according to species of animal (ewe and doe), 1st group included 25 pregnant ewes (single fetus) in different stages of pregnancy (5 ewes of each 5 months) and estimate the stage of pregnancy according to crown – rump of fetus by using tape to limitation of fetal age, the 2nd group include 25 slaughter pregnant does in different stage of pregnancy were treated as like the 1st group, perfectly. The results in this study recorded significantly (P<0.01) in 4th and 5th months of pregnancy compared with other month in (ewe and doe) related with number of placentome as well as significantly differences (P<0.01) between 3rd month compared with 1st and 2nd month, while the result recorded significantly (P<0.05) between different month of pregnancy in does compared with ewe except 3rd month of pregnancy. But the MPD in ewe and doe was recorded significantly (P<0.01) in 3rd and 4th month of pregnancy compared with other months, while they recorded significantly (P<0.05) between different month of pregnancy in ewe compared with doe except 4th month.
