An experimental laboratory was conducted in the Chemistry Department laboratories of the Ministry of Science and Technology to study the effect of the extraction method and plant part on some alkaloids contents of rocket plant. Factorial experiment according to complete randomized design (CRD) with three replications included two factors, first: the extraction method (in water or alcohol ) and second: plant parts (seeds and leaves). The alkaloids estimated were (Euric Acid, Jacoline, Dehydrojacoline, Erucifoline) by HPLC. The data were analyzed and the means were compared according to LSD0.05. The results showed that alcohol extraction was higher than water extraction, which gave higher means of Euric Acid, Jacoline, Dehydrojacoline, and Erucifoline reached to 299.18, 995.67, 351.57, 280.34 mg/ml, respectively. Leaves gave the highest average of Euric Acid, Jacoline, Erucifoline reached to 324.50, 833.40, 288.27 mg/ml, respectively, while seeds gave a higher average of Dehydrojacoline reached to 410.41 mg / ml. The interaction of alcohol extraction *Leaves significantly exceeded in Euric Acid and Erucifoline reached to 357.44 and 318.25) mg/ml, respectively, while the alcohol extraction (Seeds) gave the highest mean (1064.90) mg/ ml of Dehydrojacoline.
