Aimed to study the effect of early feeding using sand-feed dilution during the second and third week of the birds in some of the productive traits of broilers, 135 broilers from the Ross308 broiler were randomly distributed to 3 treatments with 45 broilers per treatment with three replicates (15 birds per replicate), four-storey cages were placed on each floor containing a cage of 1.0 × 1.5 m. The treatments were as follows: feed was used without dilution (control treatment), the second and third treatment was reduced by 10-20% feed respectively and the early feed was provided from 7 days to 21 days, after that, the basic diet was provided for until marketing age of 35 days. The results of the experiment showed no significant differences in the mean live body weight, weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion, mortalityand production index between the first and second treatment, while significantly higher (P≤0.05). The treatments (T1 and T2) compared with T3 in all studied productivity traits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
