Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the clinical course of type 2 diabetes is characterized by a progressive decline in b-cell mass and function, as well as insulin resistance. It mentions the use of prandial insulin requires extensive patient education on meal timing and relationship between insulin doses and carbohydrate intake and also requires increased glucose monitoring. It also mentions that patients with diabetes who use insulin should be instructed on appropriate self-monitoring of blood glucose. |
