Pre-Transition Phenomena in the Temperature Range of Structural Phase Transitions in Perchlorate Crystals.

Abstrakt:	Molecular relaxation processes in sodium perchlorate NaClO4 and potassium perchlorate KClO4 are studied via Raman spectroscopy. It is found that the structural first-order phase transition in crystalline perchlorates NaClO4 and KClO4 is extended (a diffuse phase transition). The existence of a pre-transition region in the studied perchlorates NaClO4 and KClO4 is revealed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
