The speed of social, economic and geopolitical changes at the informational stage of development of the world community has increased significantly compared to its industrial and post-industrial stages. The situational nature of modern history requires countries to be able to adapt to new conditions, learn quickly, and be able to use the historical experience of other countries to solve their own pressing problems. This scheme of actions is of particular importance for the modern Ukrainian state, which again finds itself in a difficult geopolitical situation, which in turn creates a number of economic and social problems in Ukrainian society. Under such conditions, the study of topics devoted to social crises and how to overcome them acquires new relevance. In particular, the crisis of American society in the mid-twentieth century. Among the latter, it is worth noting separately the process of implementation of the “Second Bill on Human Rights” by F. D. Roosevelt. A thorough analysis of the above phenomena, combined with the establishment of interdependencies between them, will more fully reveal the emergence of social contradictions and find ways to solve them.
