It has been established that a state coup should be considered as one of the factors affecting the functioning and change of political systems. The complete system approach shows that within the world economy the type of political system is related to its distance from the center. It is proved that in most of the core countries the liberaldemocratic regime is characterized by mechanisms of exclusion of internal armed violence. It is revealed that in the non-peripheral zone the functioning of totalitarian, authoritarian, democratic and clan-oligarchic political systems is possible. In all of these types, except the democratic one, it is established that a coup d’etat is used as a mechanism of rotation of a leader or power elite. It is emphasized that the periphery is characterized by unstable, fragile political systems, and the artificial establishment of democracy doesn’t produce results. It is emphasized that most of the countries in this zone are governed by authoritarian leaders, characterized by constant socio-political upheavals and state coups. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
