Abstrakt: President Alpha Condé has held up his end of a secret bargain with B Israeli b mining billionaire Beny Steinmetz now that several officials and members of the entourage of Condé's late predecessor, Lansana Conté, have been acquitted in Conakry of taking bribes. Condé first came to power in 2010 accusing Steinmetz of obtaining mining licences for half of the giant iron ore deposit at Simandou corruptly. But in February 2019 Condé secretly agreed to drop all accusations against Steinmetz and abandon arbitration between Guinea and Steinmetz's company Beny Steinmetz Group Resources (BSGR).
