Abstrakt: | It was the Bavarian historian Jakob Philipp Fallmerayer, who opened in the first half of nineteenth century the discussion on toponyms in Greece, especially in the Peloponnes. His central thesis was that the modern Greeks are all of Slavic origin, a thesis which was discussed in and outside Greece till today very fiercely. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
